Campers will learn how to tie knots, choose anchors, and safety check their gear while at a beautiful cliff in the middle of the Biryah Forest. With amazing views of the Golan, the Hulah Valley, Mount Hermon, and the Galilee, campers will set up  their own ropes, rappell, and belay each other under supervision of madrichim.

Day 3:

Tuesday, July 4th, 2017

A full afternoon of water sports, including speed-boating, banana boats, wakeboarding, tubing, water skiing, and more.

Krav Maga PART 1
Strengthen your body, sharpen your mind, and boost your confidence through Krav Maga, the official hand-to-hand combat system of the Israeli Defense Forces. Led by an ex special-forces commander, campers will learn tactics that emphasize instinctive movements, practical techniques, and realistic training scenarios. Training will help campers develop an understanding of one’s surroundings, learn to understand the psychology of a street confrontation, identify potential threats before an attack occurs, and improve decision making skills. The program aims to increase personal power and decrease the risk of mental and physical assault through practical self-protection/defense techniques while promoting self-confidence, self-reliance, and empowerment.

We’ll finish the day with a sumptuous BBQ dinner and fire-pit kumzitz on the beach.

Day 4:

Wednesday, July 5th, 2017

Basic First-Aid Course PART 1
This course will ensure each camper will know what to do in an emergency situation. The campers will learn techniques to ensure they remain calm and collected while under stressful circumstances, all the while assessing the situation and offering vital first-response assistance before more experienced help arrives.

Keshet Cave
While at the most magnificent rappelling site in Israel, campers continue instruction of ropes and lead rappelling activities (under the supervision of madrichim) off the mammoth natural stone arch. We will sail through the air, surrounded by panoramic vistas from the highest point in the Western Galilee!

Ma'arat Nam'er (Cougar Cave)
Campers will learn how to navigate through caves and will lead this expedition (under the supervision of madrichim) through maze-like passages, crawl spaces, vast chambers, and discover extraordinary natural sculptures within the belly of the earth just waiting to be discovered.

Day 5:

Thursday, July 6th, 2017

Basic First-Aid Course PART 2 Continued from Day 4.
Tandem Paragliding
Experience the thrill of flying! You will glide on the air currents, suspended from your paraglider, relying only on the wind for an unforgettable, thrilling experience. Enjoy a bird’s eye view of sea air, sun, blue water, and blue skies from the seat of a tandem glider. You will be secured in a harness in front of your pilot and connected to the glider and to each other by spreader bars. Under supervision of your pilot, each camper will have the opportunity to take the controls and experience the sensation of flying a paraglider by yourself!

Day 6:

Friday, July 7th, 2017

ATVing with Lebanon Border and IDF Jeep Tour
We will drive on uneven and challenging ground, going up steep hills and down precipitous slopes as we head east through the forests of the Naftali  Mountains, towards Keren Naftali – the highest peak in this chain of mountains. Next we will take a journey behind the scenes, looking at life on the Lebanese border, “living an ordinary life under threat”. Campers will have the unique and rare opportunity to meet with I.D.F. combat soldiers at their military base, who are guarding the nearby Lebanese border. We will spend time in this closed military zone getting to know the combat soldiers, watching them up close and personal. We may even get a chance to climb onto a tank!

Prepare for Shabbat
Enjoy a traditional Shabbat dinner followed by a kumzitz. We will spend Shabbat hosting some of the IDF’s lone soldiers. We will spend time getting to know our guests, sharing stories and songs.

Day 7:

Shabbat, July 8th, 2017

Walking tour of the Mystical City of Tzfat
We will explore the winding alleyways and cobblestone streets of the Old Jewish Quarter, take in the awe-inspiring views of Meron and the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee), and visit the Ancient Synagogues. We will hear miraculous stories of the War of Independence, when against the greatest of odds, with few weapons and vastly outnumbered, the Jewish people held onto the city. We will explore what it means to be a Jew throughout history and in our generation, with a focus on the land of Israel and its historical connection to the Jewish people.

Night Hike
After Havdalah we will use the stars as our lampposts as we learn how to navigate at night!

Day 8:

Sunday, July 9th, 2017

Upper Galilee Canyon
Campers will take turns leading (under the supervision of madrichim) the group through this  canyoneering adventure in the Upper Galilee. Hiking through natural forests and wilderness on a mostly unmarked trail, we will rock climb, rappell, down climb, and scramble as we explore this magnificent canyon. Campers will set up ropes and rappel over three dry waterfalls while improving their rock climbing techniques.

Biryah Forest
We will set up camp for a night outdoors in the Birya Forest, northern Israel’s largest forest. Surrounded by thickly planted pines, we will enjoy a BBQ and amazing night activities with a bonfire, stories, and music.

Day 9:

Monday, July 10th, 2017

Zip-line and Swimming at “Hidden Lake” (Ein Machtzevah)
Campers will build (under the supervision of madrichim) the largest zip-line possible in Israel at this beautiful, large lake hidden in the middle of the western Galilee. Originating on the cliffs above the lake, with breath-taking panoramic views of Acco, Haifa, and the western Galilee, this very fast zip-line ends with an impressive splash! We’ll spend the rest of the day swimming, floating, enjoying lunch, and relaxing.

Horseback Riding
Enjoy the sunset while horseback riding a route high above the Sea of Galilee.

Day 10:

Tuesday, July 11th, 2017

Black Canyon (Nakik Hashachor)
Israel’s BEST water hike! Campers will lead us (under supervision of madrichim) on this unmarked hike in a closed national park. Once we enter the canyon we will be navigating through the jungle, not along paths, and most of the time we will be near or in water – from ankle to knee deep, including rappels through three active waterfalls!

Day 11:

Wednesday, July 12th, 2017

Krav Maga PART 2
Continue building on the fundamentals and techniques learned on Day 3.

Wilderness Survival
Imagine wandering into the wilderness with nothing but the knowledge in your head, and living comfortably. We will learn how to build warm and comfortable natural shelters, find and purify water, find food, make fire from sticks, and make your own tools from nature. Leave that heavy backpack at home and learn to be free in the wild!

Horizontal Tarzan-style Rope Swinging & Spelunking at Alma Cave
First we start with the rope swing, which involves horizontal Tarzan-style jumping and flying through the air. Then we will descend into the vast cave, climbing down ladders and squeezing through small openings. As always, campers will take charge of ropes and navigating under the supervision of our madrichim.

Day 12:

Thursday, July 13th, 2017

Rappelling, Bungee Swoop, Commando Rope, and Swimming at Gesher B'not Ya'akov (Daughters of Jacob Bridge)
For real adrenaline junkies, we have the option to bungee swoop and rappel through the air off of this landmark bridge into the flowing Jordan River. Additionally, we will have exciting climbing competitions using the commando rope attached to the bridge.

An opportunity to celebrate our campers’ accomplishments with a sumptuous dinner, presentations, and goodbyes.
